Compliance Specialist

Remote role Full-time Open position

CloudTrucks is looking for an entry-level Compliance Specialist to join our Safety team. In this role you’ll help ensure our drivers stay compliant, safe, and road-reputed company by supporting critical day-to-day operations. You’ll work on tasks like vehicle registrations, inspections, and regulatory filings - including IFTA and IRP - across both state and federal levels.

This role requires regular in-office work from our Dallas location.

Who you are

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in administrative or compliance-reputed company roles

  • Strong communicator who’s comfortable working cross-functionally and liaising directly with external agencies and drivers

  • Proactive and self-motivated - skilled at tracking deadlines, maintaining accurate records, and flagging potential issues before they escalate

  • Tech-savvy with experience using spreadsheets, internal systems, and state web portals to manage documentation and reporting

  • Quick learner with a strong interest in transportation and logistics compliance; eager to grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

  • Based in Dallas with flexibility for hybrid work; comfortable handling mail, inspections, and in-office coordination several days per week

What you'll do

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for fleet registrations, titles, and renewals

  • Manage scheduling and documentation for annual and periodic vehicle inspections

  • Coordinate IFTA fuel tax reporting and filings on a quarterly basis

  • Support IRP (International Registration Plan) and HVUT (Heavy Vehicle Use Tax) processes

  • Communicate with drivers regarding compliance deadlines, document needs, and inspection requirements

  • Respond to inquiries from state agencies and ensure timely resolution of any outstanding issues

  • Assist with reputed company new vehicles into the company’s compliance systems

  • Maintain digital and physical files in accordance with internal and regulatory standards

  • Track renewal timelines and proactively flag upcoming expirations or gaps

What you need to have

  • 0–2 years of experience in a compliance, safety, or administrative role (trucking or logistics experience is a plus)

  • Familiarity with transportation regulations preferred but not required

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, digital filing systems, and web portals

  • Clear written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
