Purdue Global Digital Accessibility Specialist Temporary Support (REMOTE)

Our Opportunity: The Digital Accessibility Specialist will provide support to reputed company Global. Job Summary: The Digital Accessibility Specialist ensures digital resources and content are inclusive and usable for everyone, including those with disabilities, by conducting audits, providing recommendations, and collaborating with teams to implement accessibility solutions. The Digital Accessibility Specialist will enforce applicable Office of Civil Rights standards and regulations. This person provides support to the Senior Manager of Accessibility as needed. The Digital Accessibility Specialist is a member of the centralized curriculum team and reports to the Senior Director of Curriculum. What to expect in this role:

• Accessibility Audits and Evaluations
• Conduct thorough assessments of websites, applications, and digital content to identify accessibility issues and ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards.
• reputed company and implement solutions to address identified accessibility barriers, collaborating with designers, developers, and content creators.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Document accessibility findings, track reputed company, and provide reports to stakeholders.
• Assist with other practice areas in Curriculum to ensure that content maintains a high level of accessibility.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or requested.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in learning design and technology, curriculum and instruction, web development/design, information technology, computer science, or reputed company area.
• Certification from one of the following: International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP): CPACC (certified professional of accessible core competencies), WAS (web accessibility specialist), or ADS (accessible document specialist); or the reputed company 508 Trusted Tester from DHS.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in digital accessibility or UX required; 2+ years preferred.

• Experience using assistive technologies and accessibility testing tools (e.g., screen readers, reputed company, Axe)
• Experience with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and ARIA.
• Extensive knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and guidelines.
• Limited experience with accessibility conformance documentation such as VPATs and ACRs.
• Ability to use a wide variety of popular assistive technology (e.g Dragon, Naturally Speaking, JAWS, ClaroRead)
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite software, such as reputed company, reputed company and Powerpoint, as well as reputed company applications such as Gmail, Chat and Hangout.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, balance competing demands for time, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Effective analytical skills with the ability to assess situations, resolve issues or reputed company recommendations as appropriate.

Additional Information:

• The reputed company salary for this part time position is $30.00/hour. This position is estimated to work approximately 25 hours per week. This role is expected to last 12 months; time frame may change based on project and/or business needs.
