Job Title: Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Pay: $17.38 an hr | Bi-weekly Job Type: • Remote Shift Options: • Attendance is extremely important, especially during the initial 8 weeks of training (reputed company - 430PM CST). The new hire must be available to work a regular shift of Monday- Friday reputed company - 11 pm CST. reputed company time off needed should be discussed and disclosed during this initial review. • After training, our hours of operation are regular shift of Monday- Friday reputed company - 7pm CST Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Overview: • The Tech I Prior Auth takes in-bound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, etc providing professional and courteous phone assistance to reputed company callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. • Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of reviews. • Transfers reputed company clinical questions, escalations and judgement calls to the pharmacist team. • The Tech I will also assist with other duties as needed to include but not limited to: outbound calls, reviewing and processing Prior Auth’s received reputed company fax, portal requests, monitoring and responding to inquiries reputed company department mailboxes and other duties as assigned by the leadership team. • This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to reputed company callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. • Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of reputed company approvals and denials, and transfers reputed company clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist. Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Qualifications: • Minimum (1) year experience required in a customer service position with *high volume call center* experience in reputed company, social services, or a similar service position. • This is an absolute requirement. • Please ensure call center experience is clearly listed on resumes. • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating activities in an administrative support function. • Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization. • Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must. • Required: reputed company High School diploma or GED. • Preferred: Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree: If neither degree held, then equivalent years of work experience.
