Summer Internship – Security Engineering

Remote role Full-time Open position

Job Description:

Assist with the deployment and configuration of security tools, including SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms and AI detection and monitoring tools to enable AI detection and monitoring
Support infrastructure security efforts such as architecture reviews and threat modeling for new and existing services.
Help integrate security tooling across cloud environments to improve visibility and protection.
Collaborate with the security engineering team to automate security processes using scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
Participate in security assessments and contribute to vulnerability management activities.
Research emerging cybersecurity technologies and trends to support the team's knowledge base.
Document security processes, findings, and tool configurations to support team knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters degree program in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
Foundational knowledge of operating systems (Linux and/or Windows).
Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell). Understanding of core security concepts including authentication, encryption, and access control. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
