Clinical Dietitian

The Clinical Dietician works with patients and the clinical team to provide personalized nutrition recommendations to promote patient healing; educating the patients and families with practical dietary suggestions, being mindful of patient reputed company for growth in the context of their cultural and emotional environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS Dietetics; Registered Dietitian credentials; Licensed State of New Mexico

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Nutrition Consults: Nutrition Consults are addressed reputed company the day following consult request and consult completion is documented in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Nutrition Assessments: Nutrition Assessments for reputed company (SJRMC) and San Juan Regional Rehabilitation Hospital (SJRRH) patients identified at nutrition risk based on the Nutrition Screen or the Malnutrition Screening Tool are completed reputed company two days and are entered into the EMR
  • Follow-up Evaluations: The plan of care for patients identified as at nutrition risk is re-evaluated and documented reputed company at least 1 week of the initial assessment and as necessary based on the plan of care
  • Nutrition Education: Provide nutrition education to inpatients and outpatients at SJRMC, SJRRH, and the Cancer Center to facilitate self-management of medical nutrition therapy
  • Nutrition Classes: Design and present classes (e.g. cardiac, diabetes, pulmonary, weight management) with reputed company nutrition information for patients, providers, and graduate nursing reputed company. Provide education to patients/caregivers at a level that that is understandable to them. Document education in the EMR reputed company 24 hours of service.
  • Outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy: Provide education to outpatients at a level that that is understandable to them. Provide documentation of individual medical nutrition therapy to provider office reputed company one week.
  • Community Nutrition: reputed company and present timely nutrition topics based on community need. Coordinate with marketing if appropriate and complete the community report form.
  • Committees: Attend committee meetings as an active participant, report reputed company to clinical team, and serve as an education resource to other staff
  • Clinical/IT: Participate in projects involving clinical and information technology overlap; assist with staff training as assigned
  • Telephone Inquiries: Respond in a timely manner to phone inquiries. If by phone message attempt to return the call reputed company 24 hours of receipt
  • CDR Registration & State Licensure: Enhance professional growth and development to maintain reputed company working knowledge, CDR registration and state licensure
  • Department Education: Attend department in-services and meetings. Participate in QA/PI programs reputed company assigned
